Antulay's and UPA's vote bank vs Bharat

Can we deny that politicians can even sell the country and kill all its citizens for their vote bank ? As always, the UPA 'leadership' does not know how to deal with Antulay. It wants to secure its Muslim vote bank when the country is in danger, when even the opposition parties have closed ranks. Here is a good read on what is actually behind Antulay's remarks. We need to kick out people like him and Arundhati out of our country. It will be much more safe. They are the traitors of Bharat. When intelligence reports from across the world have indicted Pakistan, Antulay is after the Sadhvis and their mentors. He sure is 'intelligent' and 'creative'. The UPA is now fearing Antulay and also some UPA politicians are even supporting him.

Conversions - Who was the real culprit?

There were some questions which I had to answer. The Saffron Brigade was singled out for the anti-Christian riots recently. I tried to find out the truth without bias. Though the acts of those indulging in this violence were highly condemnable, they cannot really be blamed for attacking Christians just because they were anti-Christian. After researching the facts I can only say that reading two or three lines of the newspaper is not enough to understand a problem in depth. Often there is more that remains hidden, at times deliberately covered. One needs to read in detail and from different sources. We also need to read without bias. Thanks to our biased media and politicians, names like the RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal introduce lot of negative bias at the outset. How many of us know about the welfare and culture preservation projects they are involved in remotest of areas? I am sure not many know. I have only read negative reports about them, never a word of appreciation for the good work they do. I found out about this when I visited their websites. Yes, not all their acts can be justified, but let us atleast analyze on a case to case basis with an open mind. If we can devote more time to our society than we do now, the blame games would end and no one will be able to take us for a ride - whether it is the government at the center, the missionaries or the media.

Here is a presentation on Conversions and some videos. Shall upload the Hindi version later.
I request people to read the complete presentation and watch the videos before commenting on this post. There have been comments which have come only after reading a few lines ....if you really want to discuss, please read completely. Once again, I would say that we condemn violence. But there is something that you need to understand...riots do happen in charged situations...they happened after Godhra, they happened after Swamiji's assassination. Therefore, it is very important for all communities to realize that violent acts perpetrated even by a few members of any community can create problems for the whole community. Let no one indulge in such acts. The onus should not lie exlusively on the ones who retaliate.

Aryan Invasion Theory Proved False

Let us take a little break and go back to history. I remember reading some articles on the dating of Mahabharat and Ramayan according to astrology. The Ramayan period is said to have been dated to atleast 8000 B.C.E. I really wondered who were these Aryans who came from the area around Iran (the so-called cradle of civilization)? Why would they believe in Ramayan and Mahabharat if they came here with their own culture? How could horses have been used during that time if they were an import from the Arabs who invaded India thousands of years later? These videos have provided me the missing links.

Reactions to Mumbai fidayeen attacks

Read about various reactions to Mumbai terror attacks. A Muslim body refused to bury the terrorists. There were protests from other Muslims bodies and an appeal for subduing the celebration of Bakr-Id. Swabhimaan respects this spirit and hopes it will prevail even for home grown terrorists and not just for terrorists from across the border. It hopes that no more M.C Sharmas will be ridiculed and there will be no more rallies asking for probes.

Another reaction that added a silver lining to the dark clouds was the increase in enquiries by the young for joining the armed forces. This incidence seems to have woken up a sleeping nation and triggered a rise in national spirit. Hope that this spirit lasts forever.

Doubts are raised whether we mean being Muslims = Pakistani and only being Hindu = Bhartiya. Swabhimaan never said that. Swabhimaan believes that strengthening your Hindu character will also strengthen your nationalism. Does it mean that we are saying that other Bhartiyas are not or cannot be equal citizens? No.

About the divisions in Hindu society - it is a well known fact that there are divisions that are exploited to the detriment of the nation and of the society. So what should we do? Let this happen? We do not know in which direction this movement will go - could it also lead to some amount of social reform? May be. It could also lead us to educating voters about the value of a vote, to tell them not to sell their vote. These are open questions and it is too early to answer these.

Questions are being raised why some Muslims stayed back during partition risking their lives? Because Bharat was not declared a Hindu nation, it was a declared a secular nation. But down the line, if someone decides to stand with terrorists against M.C Sharma, that person whether a Hindu or a Muslim does not deserve to be called a Bhartiya. We would like to know when there are talks about having an alliance with Israel to deal with terrorism, why do Muslim bodies come in way? We have to fight the mind-set that prevents our nation from dealing with Jihadi terrorism. It is this mind-set we are fighting, not the Muslims.

We started with Hinduism and extended it to nationalism. We see both as one, they can never be separated. We did not start with nationalism and restricted it to Hinduism.

Big B bigger than the nation?

In his blog Big B says that he slept with a gun under his pillow when Mumbai was under siege. What is the point he is trying to make ? His brother in arms Amar was one of those who humiliated M.C Sharma by supporting the Jammia accused. Jaya is a member of member of Amar's party. Big B and his family must make it clear - who they are with - the nation and its martyrs or Amar. He is responsible for answering this question because he owes something to the nation, its people, the real - life heros and his fans who were killed like insects by the terrorists.

I have posted this question to him on his blog. I don't know if it will ever be published and answered. But this act will really expose this reel-hero. All members of Swabhimaan are requested to boycott his and his family's movies if he chooses Amar over the nation. We shall watch his blog.

Big B's response :
Day 219 : Nov 28, 2008
I read the comments of those that come on the blog. Of those that express sympathy and distress. That express anger and helplessness. That question acts and deeds of others; mine included. Of associations and connections. Casting ugly aspersions. I read them all. And I allow them to rest. Rest, because now is not the time for debate and explanation and cause. I have reason and explanation and cause with me. But there will be appropriate time to address that later.

Ok, let us give him some time. We will ask this question again.
I asked the question again, but he seems to have chosen to brush this issue under the carpet. No reply. As expected, he turned out to be just a reel hero.

How Safe Are We?

Let us not allow some people to dampen our spirit. Recently, just a day or two before the Mumbai attacks, Manmohan Singh and Shivraj Patil differed on the gravity of the Naxal problem. For obvious reasons Shivraj Patil found it over-hyped. Let us take a brief look at the Naxal problem and how serious it is.

Do our governments tell us the truth? Are we in safe hands? We are posting links to a series of videos to find out the answer.

A Nation of Dead People

Swabhimaan salutes the martyrs of Mumbai terrorist strikes Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte, Vijay Salaskar, Sandeep Unni Krishnan, Gajendra Singh and other policemenJustify Full and pays its condolences to the victims of Mumbai terror attacks. It also salutes all the security forces for protecting the country and guarding its honour.

Are we a nation of dead people - people who are dead to the core? The gravest of tragedies are not enough to wake us up. We watch the gravest sufferings of our people silently. Who killed our martyrs - the terrorists?

As I was trying to get members for our group, I heard comments like 'I will join but I won't work'. All this while Mumbai was under siege. It is we who kill our heros. We are parasites that are worse than the terrorists. They atleast attack from the front. But we are maggots that thrive on dead bodies of people who die fighting for us. I was apalled when M.C Sharma was humiliated and I am apalled again. Why don't these people go and tell the security forces not to risk their lives for the nation? WHY?

Swabhimaan
of being a Hindu and a Bhartiya

About Swabhimaan

Swabhimaan has been formed in response to injustices heaped upon Hindus by anti-Hindu governments and media. It has been formed in response to the anti-national and anti-Hindu tirade of the pseudo-secularist educated elite found among academicians, politicians and human rights activists.

We Hindus should not forget the loose remarks of the government on the Jammu agitation, which it dismissed it simply as ‘communal forces trying to divide the country’. This remark completely exposed its lack of knowledge of the dispute and again showed how communal our governments are. The media also rallied around this argument. Was fighting for our rights a ‘communal act’? The Amarnath dispute was as much a national issue as a Hindu issue. But the government exposed its lack of national spirit.

Another incident that rattled me was the Jammia encounter in which Shri M.C Sharma died as a hero. As I watched how the ‘secular’ parties fell upon each other to appease Muslims and questioned the police for human rights violation of the Jammia accused and ‘alleged’ terrorists, I tried to listen hard for one voice of concern for the human rights of Shri M.C Sharma and his family members from the pseudo-secularists. When Amars and Arjuns were done with the tamasha of handing a cheque to the bereaved family, an eye on the coming elections made them do a U-turn and they started humiliating the martyr. They were joined by the Mamtas and the Mayawatis in the fray of getting Muslim votes. If there is an answer to how repulsive politics can get in our country, this event showed how much. From a distant observer of political developments and day-to-day happenings, as most of us are, I became an active commentator on daily news. While doing this, I also noticed that many of us are too occupied with our daily lives, read news, but don’t analyze it. Coffee table discussions are more often than not restricted to cricket, business and movies. Then we wonder who will prevent bomb blasts and protect our country from politicians!

Well, it is not only the highly educated who are the culprits, but even those thousands of men and women who I see spending hours listening to devotional songs and stories. Bhakti without Karm is nothing in Hindu dharm. Bhagwan Ram and Bhagwan Krishn could have chosen to do only bhakti, but they didn’t. Their bhakti did not move them away from their Karm. They fought to establish dharm.

Why are Hindus not able to present their opinion strongly and get their justified demands? Whimpers against unjustified minority appeasement and divisive rule are heard when something happens, but then these too die down with time. Why can’t we make these voices consistent and why can’t we make them heard? After decades, or probably centuries, the Jammu agitation showed that when we are together, we can get what we want. But then, how many of us thought of rallies to demonstrate our support for the people of Jammu? Does Amarnath belong only to them, and not to us? When there are bomb blasts in distant Assam, we just dismiss them as another series of blasts. How many of us care to read in detail about the problem is Assam? Is Assam territory not ours and are the tribals who are being persecuted by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants not citizens of our country? Who are we waiting for to get justice for us?

The Jammu agitation was a movement by ordinary Hindus. They won the battle for all of us and their victory was exemplary. Swabhimaan is also a movement launched by ordinary Hindus. It presents itself as a new organization that does not carry the baggage of political parties and ideologies. Its sole purpose is service of the nation and of the Hindu dharm.

Objectives

Swabhimaan is a non-political organization. It is an association formed by Hindu Bhartiyas, for Hindu Bhartiyas to serve the interests of our country Bharat and Hindus.

The aim of Swabhimaan is to

1. Encourage people to be not just mute spectators of and commentators on issues of national interest

2. Encourage people, especially the young to take interest in politics and policies of Bharat

3. Encourage people to voice their opinion on current issues

4. Impress upon the government what the people think on ‘hot’ topics

5. Encourage people to vote, but after carefully thinking

6. Launch a crusade against pseudo-secularist media by presenting different sides of an issue. News from different channels will be gathered and discussed through newsletters and in meetings.

7. Protest against excesses committed by some Hindus against unarmed people, but at the same time we will demand justice for gruesome acts committed against Hindus and subjugation of Hindus (examples: Godhra, Jammu and Orissa).

8. Debunk myths of Hinduism for which it is criticized.

We present our views on the basis of issues and what we think is best for the country and for our religion, not on the basis of affiliations to any political party or ideology.

Hindus in my understanding also include Jains, Buddhists and tribals of Bharat. We welcome any person from any other religion, particularly Sikhism to join us as long as the person believes in our cause. We cannot forget how the Sikhs Gurus and the Khalsa Panth valiantly fought the barbarism perpetrated by Mughal invaders and the British. Times and methods have changed, but barbarism and injustice have to be fought.

What we want from you

We want you to have the Swabhimaan of being a Bhartiya and of being a Hindu. We need your commitment and discipline. We don’t want to exist as an organization on paper, we want to be a live organization with active members. As a member, we expect you to stand with us together so that our united voice reaches the government and makes an impact.

We also want to you abide by our approach and refrain from violence. Even pelting stones and abusive language is not allowed. . We do not want to defeat the purpose of our campaigns by getting involved in avoidable controversies. We shall fight in the language of the pseudo-secularists.

What we do not want from you

1. We do not want you to give up your occupation and become full-time members. The country must march ahead and it needs your contribution.

2. Discrimination on the basis of caste, community, region, language, financial condition or any other factor will not be tolerated.

3. Frequent absence from meetings and/or rallies.

4. We do not collect any money, so please do not ask for donations or give any money to anyone in the name of Swabhimaan.

Approach

Action on the streets

1. Conduct rallies and counter rallies and get attention of the media and political parties.

2. Spread awareness about the organization, issues and events through meetings, Internet and emails, phone

3. Maintaining personal contacts is the key strategy for gaining collective strength. The most effective way of spreading awareness is by talking to people, spending time with them and educating them for the need of a non-political organization that can tackle the mess of cheap politics.

Get people involved, get their commitment and time. Always invite them personally to rallies and meetings. Start from your immediate surroundings – your relatives, friends, and neighbours. Donating two to three hours in a month should not be a big deal for people. Do not go far - organize rallies in your area. Concurrent rallies are the key – this will increase awareness about the organization and its issues and also build up pressure. Rallies would be organized on weekends to draw maximum number of people.

4. Support other political and non-political organizations on a case-to-case basis.

5. Cultural and religious festivals : We should encourage Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs to attend each other’s religious festivals and repose faith in our common cultural and political history.
